Our Teachers
All of the speakers you will hear from during the expo are the most qualified, experienced and passionate teachers in their subjects.

Bruce
Bruce: B.A; M.Ed; Dip. Ed; MACE Bruce has been teaching History for over 45 years. He is the author or co-author of eleven textbooks, and the recipient of three NSW Premier's History scholarships. Bruce has been a member of the NSW History Syllabus writing committee and HSC Modern/Ancient Marking team (including a stint as Supervisor), and is an active member of the HSW History Teachers’ Association. He is currently writing textbooks for Oxford University Press and also lectures at a number of tertiary institutions.

Laura
Laura: B.Arts/B.Ed Laura has over 18 year experience teaching all levels of Senior English. She has been the Head of English for 7 years and is the current Coordinating Senior Marker for the Common Module - Texts and the Human Experience. She has presented seminars and produced resources for the English Teachers Association.

Shane
Shane: B.Ed, M.Ed, COGE Shane has been teaching the PDHPE course for over 22 years, including 15 of these as Head Teacher at a number of schools. He also spent 12 years as a HSC Marker, culminating in his appointment as the Coordinating Senior Marker for Sports Medicine. Shane has been presenting with InspirationED since 2004.

Andrew
Andrew: Sc, Dip. Ed, Grad Dip. M.Ed (completing) Andrew has over 25 year experience teaching Chemistry. He has been an HSC marker for 15 years as well as 6 years as a senior HSC marker. Andrew is also a member of the CSSA Chemistry Exam Committee. Andrew has been with InspirationED since 2014.

Andrew: BSc PhD GradDipEd. Andrew has over 20 years experience as a Chemistry teacher and is currently Science Coordinator at his school. He has been a writer for the Catholic Trial Chemistry paper.

Andrew: M.Ed, B.Ed Andrew is currently Head of English and has held Senior HSC Marker position s in all English Advanced modules and has spent almost 20 years as a marker. Andrew has been presenting with InspirationED since 2014 and is acknowledged as an expert in his subject field.

How much does it cost to attend?
Nothing! All 10 days of this event in May and June are free to students and parents. You are most welcome to come and go as much as you like.

Do I need any technical capabilities to participate?
No, as long as you have an internet connection, there will be no software required to participate. We do, however, recommend that you participate via your laptop or desktop computer (rather than your mobile device) to access all of the platform’s features.

Do I need to register for this event?
Yes, registration is required so that you can participate in live chats, download resources and have the ability to book live video chats with education providers that you would like to speak to.

Can we attend as a school group?
Yes, absolutely. Please contact us and we can arrange this for you.

What subjects will be covered in the HSC webinar program?
All major subjects, including Ancient History, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, English (Standard & Advanced), Legal Studies, Mathematics (Standard & Advanced), PDHPE, Physics and SOR

Can I make multiple appointments with the same university or education provider?
You are encouraged to meet with as many advisors and providers as possible. To ensure you don’t miss out, the best thing to do is to book times in advance.

What happens if I miss my booking time?
If you are not able to join at the scheduled time, please re-book a new time as soon as possible. Advisors will wait for 5 minutes and then assume you are not able to make the meeting.
