  • Nick Vujicic

    Imagine getting through your busy day without hands or legs. Picture your life without the ability to walk, care for your basic needs, or even embrace those you love. Meet Nicholas Vujicic (pronounced VOO-yee-cheech). Without any medical explanation or warning, Nick was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Australia, without arms and legs. Nick will share with us the importance of resilient and turning obstacles into opportunities.

  • Ally McLean

    Ally McLean is a video game developer and the CEO of The Working Lunch, a social enterprise that is changing the games industry through mentorships for underrepresented people. Winner of the Women’s Weekly Women of the Future award for Innovation and Technology, Ally has had a fascinating career. Don’t miss out on hearing all about it!

  • Alicia Ferguson

    Alicia debuted for the Australian Women’s football team at just 15 years old and went on to make 66 appearances for The Matildas, including two FIFA Women’s World Cups and an Olympic Games. Sports rockstar, tick! Now a TV producer and presenter based in London, Alicia has created and starred in football broadcasts, branded content, promotional videos and documentaries for Optus Sport, BBC, Channel 4, ESPN, BT Sport and ABC. TV rockstar, tick!

  • Tim Ford

    Tim is a product innovator with 15 years experience designing global footwear and bags for the athletic, action sports, fashion and travel industries. As a footwear and bag designer for Nike, Tim designed signature ranges for Rodger Federer and Kyrie Irving. Tim likes to do things differently. More accurately, he likes the things he creates to BE different. We love the way he thinks.

  • Vincent Doan

    Vincent is a chemistry Honours student working with Prof Michelle Coote at the Australian National University. Migrated to Australia in 2009 from Vietnam, Vincent first started learning English properly at 15. He went on and achieved the Dux award when graduating high school in 2015. His research focuses on using computer simulations to solve chemical problems and design new reagents that have industrial and biological applications, such as polymerization and protein labelling.

  • Ivan Zelich

    Ivan Zelich is currently completing his Masters in Pure Mathematics at the University of Cambridge. He published his first peer-reviewed paper at the age of 16, and has keenly followed his passion for understanding numbers through geometry. He has given key-note presentations around the world on the importance of creativity in an ever changing yet increasingly automated world.

  • Shane Hardcastle

    Shane co-founded InspirED (previously HSC in the Holidays) with his wife Kathryn in 2004. As a then PDHPE teacher and senior HSC marker, he saw a real need to help students and parents through stressful high-stakes testing events. He thrives on being face-to-face with students and parents helping navigate the final years of high school to make great life and career choices.

  • Kathryn Hardcastle

    Co-founder, Chief Operating Officer Kathryn co-founded InspirED (previously HSC in the Holidays) with her husband Shane in 2004. In addition to her role as COO, Kathryn is a teacher, a transformational life coach, and mother to four boys. On every level, Kathryn deeply understands the stresses and strains that high-stakes testing events place on children and families making her uniquely capable of creating effective solutions.
