One of the most essential things we teach in our famed “Ace the HSC” seminars is the COGS of success in the HSC. COGS stands for four things:
As it’s only the beginning of the year and there are 10 more months until the exams, it’s essential to get a grasp of COGS to get the best mark possible. So what do they mean? We’re going to explain in the next few blog posts, starting with C.A.L.M
- Calm – It’s vital to understand what makes you calm before exams! This may be sleep, relaxation, mediation …whatever it is, make sure you calm yourself down when you’re too stressed.
- Active – Exercise is proven form of stress relief and something that can keep that HSC weight gain away! Try do activities which increase your heart rate
- Leisure – Make sure you maintain your social connections throughout the HSC year! Keep a good balance between your studies and friends but don’t deny yourself from the occasional movie or party
- Meals – There is huge value in a good diet. Try to avoid caffeinated drinks, eat regularly and make sure you get your fruit and veg in
